Diese „radikale Dezentrierung“ durch die Begegnung mit wahrer Schönheit, die die Harvard Professorin Scary hier beschreibt, ist eine bewegende und verständliche Beschreibung dessen, was bei einer wirklichen Gottesbegegnung geschieht. Ich sehe darin einen der geeignetsten Ansätze um heute über Gott zu sprechen: Wenn wir ihn wirklich sehen und verstehen, dann überwältigt das einfach unser Herz, nicht aufgrund von Angst, sondern aufgrund des Staunens über seine Schönheit. Eine innere Veränderung wird nicht auf sich warten lassen. Das ist es, was ich u.a. in Lukas 5,8 und Hebräer 12,2 sehe - und in meinem eigenen Leben.
